This Drawing was made while on residency in Ballinglen Arts Foundation in Co Mayo, in the North West of Ireland. I brought my weather station with me and measured wind speeds and direction from it over five days in February 2024. I used this data and internet data from Met Eireann and Satellite data, to imagine air flows at different levels from ground level where the air flows would be bumpy due to drag from flowing over the ground to higher levels of the atmosphere at the top of the drawing you can see the curved lines of the jet stream which was quite strong on those days. The drawing sways a little in the gallery due to light air currents and gives the drawing an airy dynamic feel.
